Service Description
This course brings math to life through movement, hands-on projects, and intentional use of math manipulatives that help students build deeper understanding and lasting confidence. Designed for second graders who learn best by doing, each session turns key math concepts into active, engaging experiences. Students strengthen skills in addition and subtraction fluency, place value to the thousandths place, early multiplication concepts, measurement, money. Students will also learn geometry through movement-based activities such as math circuits, number-path challenges, and kinesthetic problem-solving games. These activities reinforce learning in fun, memorable ways. Through project-based learning, children apply math to real-world challenges. Students will be hands-on in building models, designing simple math-based creations, conducting measurement investigations, and collaborating on multi-step problem-solving tasks. Math manipulatives like place-value blocks, arrays, fraction tiles, and number lines make abstract ideas concrete and accessible.
